The Gachon University football league, also known as G-LEAGUE, officially began on April 1st. This article is going to introduce the 2024 G-LEAGUE and its attractions to students.
G-LEAGUE is a competition open to all members of Gachon University, including students from all departments, alumni, faculty, professors, and international students, can share diverse passions. Organized by Gachon University's 40th student council, 'Cheong,' the event runs from April 1st to October 31st. The league features preliminary matches, finals tournaments, and ranking matches, all taking place at Gachon University Stadium. The Preliminary League will be held on weekdays from 16:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00. Initially, teams will compete in the group stage, with a maximum of four teams per group. The top team from each group will advance to the main round of tournaments and ranking matches.
As of July, here is the progress of G-LEAGUE: Recruitment took place from March 22 to March 27, leading up to the full-scale start of the schedule. The Preliminary League games commenced on April 8 and continued on most days, excluding midterm exam periods, holidays, and festivals, until May 31. In the process, teams were determined to advance to the finals. The main round is scheduled to run from September to October after the start of the second semester. A: The Gachon University Soccer League is a large-scale competition featuring 50 teams. Due to high demand, each team will play at least two games, requiring a minimum of 50 games in the preliminary round. Consequently, the schedule is set to complete the preliminary round by the end of the first semester, with the main round taking place in the second semester.
