At the 2024 KBS Acting Awards, which aired on 2025 January 11, Gachon University's distinguished professor Lee Soon-jae is awarded best performance prize for his role as Lee Soon-jae in the drama ‘개소리’. He is the oldest recipient of the prize. He shared his thoughts on receiving the award. “I always prepared, thinking that an opportunity might come someday. Today I awarded this beautiful prize, this precious prize.” He delivered his thanks for audiences. And he mentioned Gachon university’s students, too. “I still work in Gachon university as a professor for the past 13 years for chancellor's consideration." “But in this time, the filming took a month, 6 months, so the progress of class has some matter.’. Nevertheless, students said for me ‘ professor, don’t worry, you're in a drama for the first time in a while. Do well . Do well for you. Don't worry , we will make everything based on your teaching. ‘ Tears came out..” He shed tear. we can see here his heart for student's and respect form them. Meanwhile, he also criticized and expressed expectations, saying "If you do well even at the age of 60, you will get a prize. It's not an achievement award. You should evaluate acting as acting, not popularity or other conditions. This is the Academy Awards in the U.S."
