From April 1 to 3, 2025, Gachon University held a spring festival under the name Spring : Flowering. This article is about the spring festival with a purpose to deliver more accurate information about this festival. Also it contains interviews of students who participated in this festival on the first day. Spring : Flowering was a three-day festival, so it consisted of various programs. First of all, like last year, the students could enjoy picnics at the pinwheel hill and try plenty of food offered by various promotions and food trucks. On the first day, during the daytime, there was a spring playlist event to play students' song requests and a busking time to show off their singing skills, followed by two movie screenings in the afternoon. On the second day, unlike last year, when a talk show was held with a famous YouTuber, famous artists were invited. EJel, Jukjae, O3ohn, and Car, the garden appeared to decorate the spring festival more abundantly. In order to ask students' thoughts about this spring festival, interviews were conducted with students who enjoyed the spring festival last year and freshmen who are celebrating the festival for the first time this year. 1. How are you enjoying this spring festival? Department of Electrical Engineering, 21st, Lee Junseo It's been a long time to me being in the festival, since I came back to school this year, so I'm having fun doing a picnic with my mates and eating delicious food. Department of Life Science, 25th, Shin Yisoo I didn't think the university festival would be much different from high school, but I was surprised by a very different scale. I'm having so much fun with my seniors and mates. Department of Architecture, 25th, Yang Hyegon I had a dream of enjoying a picnic when I came to college, and I think it came true today, so I'm really excited. 2. What are you looking forward to in the next two days of the festival? Department of English language and literature, 24th, Yoon Jeongmin Today, I participated in the festival a little late, so I want to play with more energy for the next two days. Department of Architecture, 25th, Yang Hyegon I'm looking forward to the artist's performance tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. 3. What do you think has changed from last year? Department of Early Childhood Education, 22nd, Lee Dahyeon I think the biggest difference compared to last year is the singer coming. Department of English language and literature, 24th, Yoon Jeongmin I think there are more people this year, and the cherry blossoms bloomed a lot last year, but none of them has bloomed this year. 4. Please let me know if there is anything that should be improved next year. Department of Early Childhood Education, 22nd, Lee Dahyeon It's a pity that the screen is too small to watch a movie with subtitles. Also, since picnic mats are lent only to students who paid student fees, there seem to be students who can't enjoy the festival properly, so I think it would be better if those parts get improved. Department of Orchestral Music, 25th, Kim Yein When I eat food I get thirsty a lot, so it would be nice to have a food truck that sells drinks. Department of Life Science, 25th, Shin Yisoo I hope more trash cans could be installed. There are some trash cans arranged, but I can see a lot of trash around, so if more trash cans are arranged, I think I can enjoy a cleaner festival. As such, many students left various opinions on this spring festival. It was an interview that clearly revealed the students’ enjoying part of this festival, but also of a point needing to be improved. Students were satisfied with a variety of foods, programs to enjoy, and richer performance lineups, but they expressed regret over hygienic problems such as garbage bin placement and the absence of beverage trucks that could quench their dry throats, indicating that they needed to be improved further. I look forward to the spring festival of Gachon University that will develop further in the future.
