Gachon University TOEIC Camp – Boost Your Score During Vacation and Earn a Scholarship
Organized by the Gachon Language Institute, “Gachon Leadership TOEIC Camp” offers skill development, graduation credit, and scholarship opportunities.

In July 2025, Gachon University’s Language Center launched the 2025 Summer Gachon Leadership TOEIC Camp.
This intensive, short-term program designed to improve students’ English skills was held at the Ganghwa campus during the summer and will continue this winter.
The program operated as follows: Students were placed into classes according to their placement test results, based on 800- and 900-point scores. Lectures were delivered by professional instructors, with self-study sessions in the evening and on weekends. Two TOEIC mock tests and detailed review sessions are provided, and a curriculum based on actual test-type questions immerses students in the testing environment. Furthermore, special lectures by renowned instructors were provided to foster strategic learning strategies.

The 2025 Summer TOEIC Camp was a huge success. Students’ TOEIC scores increased by an average of 264 points, and satisfaction surveys praised the lectures, study material, meals, and facilities. A total of 57 outstanding students were awarded scholarships.
I interviewed some of these High Achievers
Q. What part of the TOEIC camp was the most memorable or helpful for you?
"The customized materials my instructor prepared during class helped me achieve a perfect score of 900. They were organized by question type, which made it easier to identify areas where I needed to improve. I also found the large number of practice questions, especially for Part 5, very useful in strengthening my weak areas through repeated review."
Q. Which aspect of your English skills improved the most during this camp?
“My biggest improvement was in quickly analyzing and solving problems. Unlike school exams, the TOEIC requires you to recognize certain patterns and question types right away. During the camp, I developed the ability to categorize questions more clearly and solve them faster and more accurately.”
Q. Why would you recommend this program to other students?
“First of all, the meals were amazing. Having good food every day gave me the energy I needed while preparing for exams. Additionally, the camp environment was so encouraging that everyone remained motivated. I think the short-term, intensive program is perfect for improving scores. If you come in with determination, I believe anyone can get much closer to their goals.”
Q. How did your mindset toward English change before and after the camp?
Before, English just felt like another school subject. But during the program, I was exposed to many different types of texts and questions. I realized English is not just memorization but a real tool for communication. That shift made studying much more meaningful.
Q. Do you have any personal tips for succeeding at the TOEIC camp?
“I think the key is embracing the positive competition with friends. The supportive but competitive atmosphere really pushed me to study harder. Sharing strategies and motivating each other was a big help as well. With that kind of teamwork, it became natural to stay disciplined and keep up with the schedule. Even when things got tough, I never felt alone because I always had the group to lean on.”
Participants also received additional benefits, such as exemption from tuition at the Gachon University Language School, fulfillment of the English graduation requirement, scholarships of up to 300,000 won, and free online lectures for TOEIC Speaking and other test preparation. These resources will help students continue improving their English after the camp. The Gachon Leadership TOEIC Camp has proven to be a highly effective program, combining score improvement with personal growth. With another camp scheduled for the upcoming winter break, motivated students are encouraged to seize this opportunity to sharpen their skills and achieve their goals
